O.M. Awoleye

Dr.

My OAU Scholar PageResearch Interests:
I specialise in ICT policy research with interest in e-governance, e-learning and cyber security. Assessment studies such as social networking, Internet adoption, recommender systems, data mining and dynamics of Innovation in clusters (micro and macro).

My brief research contribution
My latest work on Production and Innovation Capabilities in ICT clusters in Nigeria has the primary aim of investigating local capacities towards indigenization of production of Computers, mobile phones and related peripherals in Nigeria. Because of the importance of this topic to international community and to my University, I received a CODESRIA grant for Thesis writing to facilitate the research and also received Post Graduate research grant from my University as well for the study. During the course of my PhD, I have also been fully sponsored to attend Africalics and Globelics Academies as well as the Conference. A number of useful policy directions were advanced by the study (Ph.D) which if implemented will give direction for evidenced based Industrial Cluster Policy in Nigeria which is non-existent.
